Woman Holding Broom and Dustpan

Over the weekend my husband, David, and I spent a day revitalizing our back yard patio. The green mildew and mold on the concrete and area rug, combined with rattan furniture that was weather-beaten from the hot sun, had become more than I could tolerate any longer. It was no longer a place where I wanted to spend any amount of time. Every time I looked out the window or walked out there I could feel the life force draining out of my body. It was so disgusting.

I knew it was going to be a big project and therefore I had been putting it off.

It took hours of hard scrubbing and even the steam cleaner to remove all the green and black gunk.

It is once again a place of peace, relaxation, and rejuvenation.

This week I also finally got around to assembling a bookcase in my office. I bought it weeks ago but hadn’t put it together. Meanwhile the stack of files had remained on the floor behind my desk, once again cluttering my space and draining me energetically.

Tackling both of these projects this week has had a huge impact on my energy level and even my mental clarity. It’s amazing how much this kind of stuff forms what we call “energy leaks”.

In simple terms, they are areas of your life that literally can suck the life right out of you. They are things like:

  • a squeaky door
  • a car that isn’t running right,
  • a toxic relationship with someone that leaves you feeling drained every time you’re around them,
  • and other things you are either putting up with, tolerating, or that frustrate you on some level.

They are all energy zappers and they can zap your energy without you even being aware of it.

To take some action in your own life, sit down with a piece of paper and start making a list of things that you’ve been tolerating or putting up with, things that need to be fixed or repaired, areas of your home that need to be organized, stacks of files or paper that need to be either dumped or filed in some sort of an organized way. Look for them around your home, your office, your garage, your kitchen, your closet, etc.

Take a look at what’s underneath your kitchen or bathroom sinks, or even a bathroom drawer. How much stuff could you clear out if you took a few minutes, one drawer or cabinet per day or one per week, whatever is easiest for you, and started little by little to clear it out?

You might be surprised at the impact it has on your overall energy level.

If you’d like some additional help in this area, my Spring Clean Your Life, from the Inside-Out Program is still available through the end of the day today.

This awesome program includes four one-on-one sessions with me at a huge value of only $397. This offer ends today. You’ll have to wait a whole year for it to come back again, and that’s assuming I decide to offer it again.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to amp up your energy, take a fresh look at what is and is not supporting you and create some changes that make room for more awesome stuff to show up in your life.

This is also a great way to experience working with me one-on-one if you haven’t had the opportunity to do that yet, and, I’ve structured it so that no matter where you live in the world, you can still participate.

I can’t begin to tell you how much “lighter” I feel by making some of these changes. I’d love to support you in doing some spring cleaning, both on the inside, and the outside!
