“Do you have the courage to bring forth the treasures that are hidden within you?” – Elizabeth Gilbert
This is from my latest read, “Big Magic“, by Elizabeth Gilbert.
This quote really speaks to me, possibly because I am in the process of writing a book.
Completing a book, and getting it out there, is somewhat terrifying actually. “What will people think? Will they like it?”
And of course the underlying thought or fear is “Will they like me?”
If I don’t complete it then I don’t have to face the perceived possible threat of rejection. Right? If it stays unfinished it’s a just a work in progress. That’s safe.
But it doesn’t really serve anyone if it stays there does it?
I heard someone say recently write a book for you. Because you feel the need to write it.
That helps somehow.
I encourage you to complete and bring forth what’s in you, for you, for the love of the process itself and let it go.
With good energy,
